It just seems that a company which has been around as long as Autodesk has would be a little more sophisticated by now. After which, I can actually test to see if it software itself functions properly! All of which I can do.but should not have to IMO. So in summary to make Autodesk's software installation process function, I have to be fluent enough in 'computer' to modify my registry, uninstall their software, AND, be certain to back up any customizations and settings before their upgrade will properly install. When I finally reach someone, (a very nice guy btw), he sends me this link: Here's the error message I get and Autodesk's solution:Īpparently, this error is already known by Autodesk.īefore I find this out, however, I spend most of the day trying to get through to a support rep via chat.
